超爱吃Stater Bros $2.99的cheesecake。小盒里一块原味的，一块巧克力的。交替着吃。白的顺滑，黑的浓郁，正好相互调和相互补充，甜而不腻，美味之极。

这就像blogspot和blogbus。我又开了一个http://zhou-shu.blogbus.com。其实我不定写哪个，白的吃腻了吃黑的，时不时有点变化才好。

Dear fellow Chinese,

This is a letter from several Chinese students studying in the U.S.

As you have already heard, East and South China have been suffering from severe weather conditions since mid January. 80 million people are affected, about 150,000 houses collapsed, power lines are damaged, and many provinces and cities do not have electricity supply… As overseas Chinese, we might not be able to offer direct aids, but there are many alternative things we can do, as long as we care for our home country and her people.

We have started an initiative called “Warm Heart” and have built a group called "Snow Storm in China" on Facebook as a preliminary site to update news and information about the snowstorms and seek ways of donations. Now, you are invited to join us and do the following things:


1. Let the world know about this!

Please forward the message to your friends, your community or group email lists, post this message on your own blog, post it on the BBS forums you go to. Try to let everybody around you know, no matter they are Chinese or not.


2. Join the "Snow Storm in China" group on Facebook

Please click here (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7861447275) or go to Facebook.com, log in your account (sign up if you don't have one), go to 'Groups' in the navigation menu on the left and search for "Snow Storm in China". In-depth news articles and the donation information are posted on the group homepage.


3. Donate

Yes, this is the most effective way to offer our help, given that we are living overseas. Unfortunately, we have not found any trustworthy charities in the States which receive donation for the Snowstorm victims in China. However, we do think the World Vision (Hong Kong) is a trustworthy and efficient NGO that we can count on so far. As one of the most influential charities in the world, World Vision has already made a quick response to this disaster by committing HK$400,000, and plans to carry out rehabilitation works in the worst-hit provinces such as Guizhou, Hubei, Shaanxi and Jiangxi.

Donate to World Vision in Hong Kong online - go to this page (https://www.worldvision.org.hk/donation/i-donation.asp?type=otherdonation&ID=160&lang=e) for online donation using credit card. Select at least the first item "China Snowstorm Appeal", enter the amount of donation (in HK Dollars), and click "OK" on the bottom then click "Continue" to enter personal information. Make sure you enter "Warm Heart Group" in the Institution area, so that we might be able to track the effectiveness of our action. Then select your language to pay by credit card. Please note that usually there will be a charge of 1% - 3% for international transactions depending on your credit card companies.

To make it clear, we don’t have any personal connections with the World Vision Hong Kong. We will keep searching for other charities and keep you posted on this.

Again, as students living far far away from home, our input might not be substantial enough, but there are no excuses for us to stay out of troubles on our homeland. We shall never give up in front of any difficulties, because love is what makes us strong.

[暖心贴] 为中国雪灾捐款倡议书

亲爱的祖国同胞们，

这是一封来自几名北美留学生的信。

大家都知道，今年一月中旬以来，中国的东部和南部遭受大面积冰雪严寒的侵袭，近八千万 人的生活受到影响，房屋倒塌十五万余间，道路受阻，断水断电，粮食供应紧张……祖国面临极大的困难。身在海外的我们也许不能提供最直接的帮助，但是，这不应该成为我们袖手旁观的借口。我们可以做的事还有很多，只要我们有热血和善心。

为组织海外华人援助国内的灾民，我们发起了名叫“暖心贴”的活动并在Facebook上成立了"Snow Storm in China"小组，希望把这里作为一个平台，集结团体力量，更新客观、及时、全面的灾情信息，并倡导为灾民募捐的行动。目前该小组成员数量正在快速的增加。现在，我们诚恳地请求您加入我们，并做以下几件事：


1。尽量让所有人知道这次活动
请转发这封邮件给你认识的人和你参加的email list，在你自己的blog里转贴这条信息，在各大BBS上转贴。尽量让更多的人知道，不管是哪个国家的人。


2。在Facebook上加入"Snow Storm in China"小组

3。捐款

目前来讲，捐款是身在国外的我们能提供的最有效的帮助。遗憾地是，我们没有找到任何美国当地的有信誉保障的慈善团体为此次中国雪灾募捐。但是事情迫在眉睫，在此，我们建议大家通过香港世界宣明会向内地捐款。作为一个世界性的慈善机构，宣明会在香港有着很好的信誉和强大影响力。在这次雪灾中，他们反应迅速，目前已经向内地捐款40万港币用作受灾最严重身份的灾后重建，包括贵州、湖北、陕西、江西等省份。

在此说明：我们和宣明会并没有任何私人联系。如果发现更有好的捐款渠道，我们会第一时间告知大家。

春运

回趟家的代价有多大呢？彻夜排队，风餐露宿，在火车站永远味道可疑的地板上座等，吃泡面，因南方雪灾被滞留，年轻女孩抱着大大的公仔，父母哄着年幼的孩子，大小行李铺满了站台……

可是再辛苦也要回家，哪怕因为铁路中断要走上几十公里的路！看看这么多的人，每一个的心中都充满同样的盼望，一起在路上，一起往家的方向赶路。这才是“万众一心”，不为什么崇高的理想，只为了回家——这谦卑的愿望却又如此令人感动！它真实、朴素，这里面有一个民族共同的牵挂，有人性中最美好的东西。我真觉得没有什么比过年回家的场面更动人了。

这也算精神生活？

Blogbus总有新模板，我又想搬过去。

想写一下最近的精神生活，看了些什么书和电影的，竟然无甚可说。学业上的正经功课越来越陷入细节，文学、电影批评有太多技术性的东西，看的时候有趣，但是像做菜或织毛衣的那种趣味，投入却心不在焉，事后也不觉有什么要紧。比不上想国情民生，自己会越想越重大，于是连人生都有意义了。可这些天对受苦受难受歧视受迫害受污染的种种都提不起精神义愤填膺，唯独只恨世人注意力转移太快。今天死了的人，明天连血痕便都不见了。

这两周在看《红楼梦》，不过是摘些章节，蜻蜓点水。我在文学方面近几年是差的远了，需要恶补的太多。尤是英语文学，叫的出名的几乎全没看过，碍于比较文学的面子也不好不看。我觉得自己在虚构世界与现实世界之间一直有个挣扎，只取前者似太无足轻重，只取后者又觉少见识了人性的种种可能对现实也未必有利。到底如何杀出一条血路，大概要过几年才见分晓。

一门课专读本雅明阿多诺。西方马克思主义引引还能勾起我的激情，念念名字就很开心。那课老师退休了，说不用看journal了，自己想读什么才读什么。很羡慕。兼给Food in Film做TA。每周看一部与食物有关的片子，和小本科生们一起慢慢的细细分析电影的时候，无忧无虑。

终于去了好莱坞，小失望，小激动。街上蜘蛛侠黑武士横行，回头看到尤达大师遥遥摆摆地走来，像是提醒我们终究也曾做了大梦一场。几天以后Heath死了，伤心难过自不必说。然而哭过也就过了，再不是当年为张国荣一连忧伤几日的年纪。

此外耳边没有好音乐，嘴边没有好句子，没有痴迷没有什么萦绕心头，终究还是没劲儿。再者我不文艺好久了，有点身份危机。
